The first day of your 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech will start after meeting you at your location in Tangier, we will pick you up from the airport or from your accommodation.Then, the driver will take you to explore the fabulous city of Tangier and its main attractions like Cope Spartel and the famous Hercules caves.These two landmarks provide stunning views over the Atlantic ocean and Mediterranean sea, in addition to the history and myths of the Hercules caves. After that, you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch before resuming the journey to the blue city of Chefchaouen, passing by Tetouan, where you will feel the influence of the Andalusian heritage. Especially on the architecture and the language. From there, we will drive through the majestique Rif mountains where several stops will take place to admire the nature’s beauty of this area. Later on, we will arrive at Chefchaouen. Here, you will have your dinner and spend the night in a traditional Riad.
The following day starts with a tasty breakfast before going to explore the main beautiful landmarks of Chefchaouen and walk in its blue painted narrow alleys. Afterwards, the journey leads us to the ancient Roman Volubilis ruins. A listed UNESCO world heritage site that attracts visitors from around the globe. Here, you will find old houses, temples, colorful mosaics and many more things that still reflect the Culture and History of the Romans in Morocco and North Africa in general. Following that, the imperial city of Meknes that was once served as the capital of Morocco, invites you to explore its historical attractions like Bab al Mansour,Sahrij Souani Basin, Royal Stables, and the tomb of Moulay Ismail who made Meknes his capital back to the 17th century. Later on, we make our way to the cultural city of Fes, where you will spend the second night of your 5 days desert tour in a traditional Riad.
After spending the night in a traditional Riad in Fes, you will enjoy your breakfast in the same accommodation before embarking on a journey to Imouzzer, a small town in the middle Atlas that is known for its breathtaking landscapes.Then, continuing to the ‘’Switzerland of Morocco’’, Ifrane city. A calm and lovely town where most of the people spend : winter if they want to see the snow and summer if they want cool temperature weather. Not far from Ifrane, we will resume the tour to visit the popular Cedar forest of Azrou, which is home for hundreds of monkeys. Here, you can take a walk in the forest while playing and feeding the monkeys if you want.
Following that, the driver takes you on the road again to Midelt, where you will enjoy your meal break before crossing the winding yet spectacular Tizi n’Talghamt pass and driving along the fabulous Ziz valley. Along the way, several stops will be made to stretch your legs and enjoy the charming landscapes.
As the sun sets, we will arrive in the Merzouga Desert. Here, the camels are waiting to pick you up towards your Desert Camp. But on the way, you will have time to appreciate the amazing sunset on the top high dunes of Merzouga Sahara Desert. After that, you will reach the Desert camp to enjoy a hearty dinner with the soulful Berber Music around your campfire under the sky of Mezouga Desert.
If you want to watch the sunrise on the golden sand dunes in the middle of the Sahara, waking up early is mandatory.Then, a Desert breakfast will be served before heading back to the village of Merzouga.Where the driver is waiting to take on the road to the first destination of the day 4, which is Rissani. A town that is known for its large traditional market and for its high quality dates in the region of Tafilalite. As it was also a popular stop of the Saharan Caravans many years ago.Soon later, we will arrive at the desert town of Erfoud that is known also for its tasty dates and fossil craftsmanship.Since the region is known for producing dates, we will drive through the endless palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. Later on, the journey takes us to the fabulous Todra gorge. Here, you will take a walk along the Todra river that has formed its way between the immense red cliffs of Todra valley, making it a charming place to visit. After that, the journey drives us towards the stunning valley of Dades, passing by Boumalne and taking a break at the famous rock formation that is called ‘’Monkey Fingers’’ to enjoy the mesmerizing scenes of the valley. Next, we will head to a traditional Riad to have your dinner and spend the night.
Your final day of the tour starts with a warm breakfast as most of the mornings.Then, head directly to the capital of roses, Kelaa M’Gouna. Here, you will explore the Roses valley that is full of local cooperatives which produce many Roses products like oil, water, creams and many more. After that, the ride continues to the palm Skoura oasis, in which we will visit the old and the beautiful Amridil Kasbah. Later, we move forward to the city of Ouarzazate or as they call it ‘’Hollywood of Africa’’ to explore the Atlas Studios, where some famous films and series are being made. Works like Game of Thrones, The Mummy, Cleopatra and many more.
Not far from Ouarzazate, we will head to the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed site that has appeared in many international films and movies because of its traditional architecture and stunning views that showcase the beauty of this fortified village.Afterwards, the adventure continues through the majestique High Atlas Mountains and passing by the famous sneaky pass of Tizi n’Tichka. Along the way,many breaks will be made to enjoy the captivating landscapes of these beautiful places and to have your lunch somewhere in the High Atlas Mountains.
