Traveling to Morocco on an 11 day tour from Casablanca will let you experience the best of Morocco. From there, we continue to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga , where you will have a camel trek and spend the night in a lovely Desert camp.Additionally, you have time to take in the magical sunset and the sunrise in the Sahara Desert.Following that, you will step into the charming Todra and Dades gorges before heading to the historical Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and the Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate.Soon later, we will take a ride to the majestique High Atlas Mountains and the winding Tizi n’Tichka pass before reaching Marrakech, in which you will have an awesome tour.Aferwards, we will resume the journey to visit Essaouira city and leave to Casablanca, where your 11 days tour ends.
The first day of your 11 days tour in Morocco will be dedicated to visit Casablanca’s main attractions and historical sites. So, after meeting you at the airport or from your accommodation in the main city, we will go on a journey to explore the economic capital and the biggest city in Morocco. Starting by a visit to the famous Hassan II mosque, an important symbol which reflects the architecture and the cultural side of Morocco. Since the mosque is open to non-muslims, you can enjoy its interior that is decorated with hand-carved marble and zellige, in addition to cedar wood in the ceilings. Afterwards, you will enjoy a Moroccan lunch. Then, head to other sites like Mohamed V square or the ‘’Pigeon Square’’ as they call it. A vibrant place where you can find both locals and tourists.Besides that, a stop in Rick’s Caffe, inspired from the film Casablanca although it is not filmed there but the ambience is unmatched.The next thing is a walk in the Corniche of Casablanca, where you can stretch your legs along the Atlantic ocean. Later, the day ends in a comfortable hotel where you will spend the night.

The following day starts with breakfast before heading to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. Along the way, you will enjoy a scenic drive along the coastal road from Casablanca, passing by several charming seaside towns.The current capital of Morocco is an imperial city which holds parts of Morocco’s rich history. Here, you will visit the main historical sites like Hassan tower, the Mohammed V tomb and the ancient Oudaya Kasbah. Afterwards, the journey pauses to enjoy your lunch before heading to the north of Morocco to visit Ouazzane city. From there, the journey continues through the Rif mountains towards the Blue city of Chefchaouen, where we will spend the night in a cozy hotel.
On this day, you will have your delicious breakfast as usual. Then, go on an awesome tour to explore Chefchaouen, a small town in the Rif mountains where the unique blue color makes your soul feel the serenity of its Medina, while diving to the rich history of this hidden gem. Soon later, we take a ride to the old Roman city of Volubilis. A UNESCO-listed site that will let you feel the Roman rich history in Morocco and north Africa in general.Leaving the Roman ruins behind us, we will resume the tour towards another imperial city, which is Meknes.Here, we will visit Bab Al-Manso, Sahrij Souani Basin, Royal Stables and the mausoleum of Moulay Isamail.Next on the tour is heading to Fes, where we will spend the night in a beautiful Riad.
The fourth day starts with a tasty breakfast before heading to explore the historical sites of the imperial city of Fes. Starting by the majestique Royal Palace gate and the Jewish quarter of Mellah. From there, we continue to the stunning Borj Sud that was built by the Saadian to defend the city of Fes. A perfect place that provides a general view over the old Medina. Following that, we move to Pottery & Ceramic village, where you will watch the whole process of making Zillige, Mosaics and other pottery products. Later, you will take a walk with a knowledgeable guide in the narrow alleys of the old Medina of Fes. A UNESCO world heritage site, in which you will visit Al Attarine Madrassa that was built in the 14th century reflecting the unique Marinid architecture. Not only that but you will also visit the oldest university in the world, Al-Qarawiyyin University.This masterpiece was founded by Fatima Al-Fihri in 859. Afterwards, we move to the famous Chouara Tanneries, where artisans still use traditional ways to make the colorful leather products. Finally, the day ends in your traditional Riad to relax and reflect on this full day.
It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
After waking up in Fes and having your breakfast, the journey leads us to Imouzzer, a lovely town in the Middle Atlas. From there, we continue to the so-called ‘’Switzerland of Morocco’’, Ifrane. A calm town that is known for its European Alpine-style houses and its low temperature during the winter.Soon later, the road takes us to the popular Cedar forest near Azrou. Here, you can play with hundreds of monkeys while stretching your legs in the forest before resuming the journey to Midelt, where we will make a stop for a delicious lunch. Later on, the adventure continues to cross the stunning pass of Tizi n’Talghamt and drive along the charming Ziz valley. Several breaks will take place along the way before reaching Merzouga Desert.
After a long drive, we reach the village of Merzouga, where camels are waiting to take you on a fabulous trip to your Desert camp. On the way, you will have the chance to witness the sunset over the sandy dunes of Merzouga Desert before your arrival at your camp. Where, a hearty dinner will be served around your campfire while listening to the traditional Berber melodies under the sky of Merzouga Sahara Desert.
Spending the night in Merzouga desert is cool, but watching the amazing sunrise in the early morning is unmatched. So, wake up early to enjoy this moment before having your desert breakfast and leave to explore the region of Merzouga on the sixth day of your Morocco tour. On your way back to the village you will ride camels or a 4×4 car. From there, you will take an off-road trip to visit an old mine where traditional eyeliner is extracted. Afterwards, we continue to visit a local nomad family in their traditional tent. You will share a glass of tea while having a conversation with them. Later on, we head to Khamlia village, a place to enjoy traditional Gnaoua music and dance with the locals in an amazing ambiance. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before heading to a walk in the green palm groves. Besides that, we will move forwards to visit the seasonal lake of Merzouga that is home for Flamingos and other migratory birds.Then, end the day in a comfortable hotel where you will have your dinner.
The next day, we head to Rissani after your breakfast in the hotel. Rissani is known for producing dates due to its large palm groves.In addition to that, you will take a walk in its large traditional market before resuming the journey to the fossil town of Erfoud. From there, the adventure continues along the palm groves of Tourooug and Tinjdad. Along the way, we will pass by many lovely towns before reaching the must-see Todra valley. Here, you will take a walk by the side of the charming Todra river to enjoy the jaw-dropping high cliffs canyon of the valley. After wandering this stunning natural masterpiece, you will enjoy a Moroccan lunch in a local restaurant around the valley. Later, the adventure takes us to explore Dades valley, passing by Boumalen. Several breaks will be made to enjoy the landscapes of this region. Especially the famous rock formation of ‘’Monkey Finger’’ and an overlooking viewpoint of Dades valley. Then, spend the night and have dinner in a cozy hotel.
As usual, a tasty breakfast will be served. Afterwards, the driver talks you to the famous Roses valley in Kelaa M’GOUNA.Here, the town is famous for its Rose related products like oil, perfumes,soaps and many more that the cooperatives produce. Especially, in a national festival that takes place in May every year. After that, we drive along the palm groves of Skoura oasis before reaching ‘’Hollywood of Africa’’, Ouarzazate.Where, we will pay a visit to the Atlas Studios to see how the films are being made. From there, we move to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.A UNESCO-listed site that has appeared in many international films and series like Game of Thrones, the Mummy, Cleopatra and many more. Soon later, we will continue to Marrakech through the winding Tizi n’Tichka pass that is located in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, many stops will be made to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and to have your delicious lunch. Next, we resume the trip to Marrakech where you will have your dinner and spend the night in a lovely Riad.
Today is dedicated to the imperial city of Marrakech. After your breakfast, you will meet a knowledgeable local guide that will show you the main attractions of the city. Starting with Bahia Palace, an architectural masterpiece which reflects Morocco’s royal history. Then, Ben Youssef Madrassa, an old Islamic school which was influenced by the Moroccan-Andalusian rich architecture. From there, we head to explore the old Medina of Marrakech along with its vibrant Market / souk.A UNESCO world heritage site where you will find artisans while wandering through the narrow and crowded alleys that will lead you to the famous square of Jamaa El-Fna, where you will watch snake charmers, street performers,traditional music and so on. Not far from here, you will appreciate the beautiful and large Kotobia mosque while standing outside of the mosque square. Later, you will recharge your energy with a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will meet with your driver again to take you to explore the stunning Majourel Garden which requires booking online before going there.Then, passing by the modern area of Marrakech, which is Gueliz. Later on, we head back to your Riad to rest and reflect on your Marrakech tour.
The morning will start with a tasty breakfast before leaving Marrakech towards Essaouira. The driver will take us through the open landscapes of Elhaouz, on the way, you can watch goats climbing the argan and olive trees,and local farmers working on their land, showcasing the simple rural life of Morocco.
The first location that you are going to visit after arriving in Essouaria is the busy port of the city. A place where you can see the local fishermen and their wooden boats floating in the water. In addition to the towers that have been influenced by European architecture and a bunch of old bronze canons that have been facing the Atlantic ocean since the 18th century. Afterward, we move to the old Medina to explore La Skala, a stone fortified rampart built for defending the town from the enemies back to when Essaouira was an important trading spot. Then, we head to Bab Laalouj, one of the gates to the ancient walls of the city. Not far from this gate, you will visit the Mellah, a jewish quarter in the Medina. Essaouira offers many traditional art and craft shops in which you can buy some items like Thuya wood box (speciality of Essaouira), Berber jewelry, Argan oil…etc. Afterwards, we head to your hotel, where you will spend the night.
The last day of your 11 day Morocco tour starts with breakfast as usual, from there we leave the coastal town of Essaouira towards the starting point of your tour, Casablanca. Along the way, you will enjoy the fabulous passing scenery of a bunch of Moroccan towns. After your arrival we will drop-you off at the airport if you are leaving or your accommodation in Casablanca. You can also end your tour in Marrakech if you want.
